Celebrities Carmina Villaroel and Zoren Legaspi have been together since 2000, and now they plan to take their happy partnership one step further by getting married, PEP.ph reports. The couple last planned to get hitched two years ago, but their wedding didn't push through.
This time around, Zoren said they were going to make sure it would happen. "Hopefully, this year. Ini-schedule na lang namin. Hopefully, hindi dahil it's about time, pero dahil kung hindi pa mangyayari, tatagal nang tatagal. (We're scheduling it this year. Hopefully, not because it's about time, but because if it doesn't happen now, it will keep getting pushed back further.)"
Zoren shared that he and Carmina wanted a simple civil wedding. "Kasi imbes na gastusin mo sa magarbong wedding, maraming puwedeng puntahan pa iyong perang iyon, e (Instead of using your money on a lavish wedding, you can use it for a lot of other things)," he explained.
He added that he was lucky that he and Carmina shared the same views. "It so happens na si Carmina also, okay lang sa kanya iyong close family lang ang i-invite. Kasi mayroon namang mga babae talaga na ang pangarap, big wedding, e. (It so happens that Carmina is all right with just inviting close family. There are other women who really dream of having big weddings.)"
Their only problem, he noted, is whether or not they will have time for it, especially now that Carmina has a busy schedule shooting a primetime soap for ABS-CBN. Nevertheless, Zoren said, "Dapat talaga itong taon mangyari [ang kasal]. Dapat. (The wedding really needs to happen this year. It has to.)"
