Whether you're an experienced cook or just starting to learn the basics, you have to admit that watching celebrity chefs work their magic in the kitchen can be quite entertaining. What is it about these food personalities that makes them so addictive to watch? Is it the recipes they show on TV? Is it the way they seem to welcome you into their kitchen with open arms? Is it their witty commentary or the places they feature?

All these, perhaps, are what make cooking shows such a hit today. When Rachel Ray talks about making quick-fix meals, you find yourself nodding along to her every word. When the opening credits for Barefoot Contessa start rolling, you feel like you've set foot in her home as well. Think about it--in some way, you feel connected to these food personalities. Want to know who you might have the strongest connection with? Take our quiz to find out!

1 .) Your friend is getting married in a few weeks, and you've been appointed to take care of the food. What do you have in mind?
  1. When cooking for a large number of people, pasta is your go-to dish. Your choice for your friend's shower--spaghetti carbonara.
  2. Having been friends with the bride-to-be since forever, you know immediately that she'll want something practical but delicious--pizza made from scratch!
  3. You've thought of everything! From the minute the guests walk into the room, you'll have them drinking margaritas and shown to their seats while you check up on your main course.
  4. The theme for the party is indulgence. This is your friend's bridal shower, after all, and you're going to start it with a bang--and your signature creme brulee.
2 .) The first time you tried your hand in the kitchen, your food turned out:
  1. Okay. You followed the recipe's instructions to the letter, and you were quite content with your first try.
  2. A bit messy. You must have cut yourself a dozen times.
  3. Perfect. Everything was well-prepared from start to finish.
  4. Interesting. You followed your instincts and came up with a new and unconventional recipe.
3 .) When you're eating out or at home, what kind of conversations do you and your friends often end up having?
  1. Talk therapy. Your friends always run to you for advice. If you weren't already such an amazing cook, you'd probably become a psychotherapist.
  2. Fun girl talk. Who's dating whom? What's the latest about everyone? You're a fantastic conversationalist since you never run out of things to say.
  3. Artwork or films. You and your friends don't just appreciate good food; you're also art and film connoisseurs and amateur critics.
  4. Good food. You're a food lover at heart and can talk about something as simple as the importance of onions in cooking for quite a while.
4 .) What are your kitchen must-haves?
  1. Measuring cups. You like to be precise about your cooking.
  2. Colorful cutting boards. They make chopping onions 10 times more fun.
  3. Cookie cutters. With all the entertaining you do, you've actually accumulated a set for every occasion.
  4. Good, sharp knives. You may like to have fun in the kitchen, but you have no tolerance for dull company.
5 .) What's your signature recipe?
  1. Lasagna--because nothing beats the classics.
  2. Kickin' beef burger--it's filling, but doesn't take too much time to prepare.
  3. Filet mignon--it may seem fancy, but it's actually pretty simple and absolutely delicious.
  4. Indian rice pilaf--who knew rice could be so flavorful?
6 .) Something accidentally catches fire in the kitchen. What's the first thing you do?
  1. Keep calm. You know where the fire extinguisher is.
  2. You scream. You'll probably be able to put it out, but it's a great way to express your frustration.
  3. You would never have set anything on fire, even accidentally.
  4. You singlehandedly put out the fire as if it were a daily occurence. You've learned how to take care of yourself early on.
7 .) Your pantry is never without these items:
  1. Lemons, shallots, and garlic--these classic ingredients make everything taste better.
  2. Extra virgin olive oil (EVOO)--you love cooking healthy recipes, so this is a definite must-have.
  3. Ingredients for garnishing--you're well aware that presentation is just as important as the taste itself.
  4. Wine--you add it to your food to keep everyone intoxicated with your dish.
8 .) Aside from your signature dishes, what else are you known for?
  1. Your shameless over-enunciation of Italian words, which has become an art form.
  2. Your superstitions--for example, you throw salt over your shoulder every time for good luck.
  3. Your picture-perfect garden soirees--it's like no one is allowed to dress plainly when at your party.
  4. Your naughty streak--there are times when you throw the book on healthy living out the window and just indulge.
9 .) Why do your friends love eating over at your place?
  1. Because you can make any problem go away. Friends come to you after a breakup or a bad day, and you manage to calmly talk them through it.
  2. Aside from your hearty meals, friends enjoy your company. The cooking trivia you share with them doesn't hurt, either.
  3. You have a way of making even the simplest brunch with friends special--and an equally powerful way of making the people in your life feel special themselves.
  4. Eating at your place is a feast for the senses. The mouth-watering smell from the kitchen makes everyone forget about dieting.
10 .) You're conceptualizing a new cooking show. What are the key words you want people to think of when they are watching you prepare food?
  1. Simply scrumptious
  2. Easy and doable
  3. Warm and comforting
  4. Delectably sinful
