What's next for Dennis Trillo?

Sep 3, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

dennis_tips.jpgThere's no stopping Dennis Trillo at the moment. His latest GMA Films starrer, I.T.A.L.Y. (with Jolina Magdangal) is coming to theaters soon, and another movie, Kulam, is coming out in November; he has just wrapped up his afternoon soap Magdusa Ka, and is set to return to primetime this October with GMA-7’s Gagambino.

PEP has called Gagambino the "local Justice League" in the animal world, where a group of superheroes possess insect powers. Joining him are Nadine Samonte, Jean Garcia, and Polo Ravales, among others.

We luckily caught him for a small chat recently. In the following Q&A, Dennis talks about Magdusa Ka, his dream role, and his favorite place in Europe, where they filmed I.T.A.L.Y.

What was unforgettable about Magdusa Ka?
My role mismo. It was the first time that I played a barumbado. It was also great to work with direk Maryo J. De los Reyes and the cast!

From among the places where you shot I.T.A.L.Y., what is your favorite?
I loved Barcelona. It’s the art capital of Spain, and I was so amazed by Las Ramblas, the avenue na ang daming paintings for sale. The Sagrada de Familia Church was also amazing, para siyang inukit sa putik, at sobrang detailed!

What kind of role would you like to do in the future?
I want something like Robert de Niro's role in Martin Scorsese's Cape Fear. I haven't done contrabida roles yet, so that would be a challenge!

Any dream leading ladies?
Natalie Portman--she was so good in Garden State. I'd also like to work with Heart Evangelista and Maja Salvador.
