The 2009 awards season seems to favor Tina Fey and the late Heath Ledger, as their winning streak extends to the Screen Actors Guild Awards held last Sunday.
If the SAG Awards and Golden Globes are any indication of this year's Academy Awards results, then Ledger might be up for another posthumous award for his supporting role in The Dark Knight. Meanwhile, 30 Rock marks an outstanding year in television with more individual accolades for its stars Tina Fey and Alec Baldwin, and an outstanding performance by an ensemble in a comedy series award for its cast.
The lead stars of Slumdog Millionaire may have been snubbed at the Academy Awards, but they emerged triumphant in the Outstanding Performance by a Cast in a Motion Picture category.
