Can't get enough of Survivor? The wait for the next season is over, as Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands, premieres on Q Channel 11 this month!
Survivor's 18th season sees Emmy Award-winner host Jeff Probst and 18 castaways braving the Brazilian highlands, one of the reality show's most rugged locations ever. The only relief it offers from its harsh conditions is a river oasis known as Rio Novo.
The castaways who will battle for the title of Ultimate Survivor are once again a diverse and interesting bunch. There's a 37-year-old soccer coach with a California symphony orchestra background; a former Miss Ohio USA-turned-lawyer; a hairstylist out to prove she's not just another pretty face; a first sergeant in the Army National Guard and specialist in Nuclear Operations; a former Grammy-nominated pop star; and a country bus driver, to name a few.
For the first time, applicants under 21 were allowed to audition for the series, except those in Mississippi and Washington, D.C. However, only 19-year-old Spencer Duhm from Lakeland, Florida was able to pass the screening.
For 39 days, the two tribes of castaways will battle scorching temperatures, torrential downpours, and dangerous wildlife while they outwit each other to emerge as the sole survivor.
Survivor: Tocantins - The Brazilian Highlands will air every Friday beginning February 13 on Q Channel 11.
