Sunshine Cruz seems determined to keep herself busy after her controversial split from her husband of 13 years, Cesar Montano.
The actress, who shelved her showbiz career when she married Cesar, is already filming scenes for her comeback project, an ABS-CBN drama series titled Dugong Buhay. But though she is excited to be back in the limelight, she admits that motherhood has made her acting skills a little rusty.
“Kinakalawang na ako, I swear. I'm rusty na, kasi ang ginagawa ko na lang... siyempre nag-aalaga nalang tayo ng bata nang ilang taon (I’m getting rusty, I swear. I’m already rusty, because I’ve only been taking care of my kids for several years),” she was quoted by ABS-CBN.com as saying.
But the most definite sign that Sunshine is back for good was her appearance on the cover of FHM’s April 2013 issue. PEP.ph notes that the actress, who was the magazine’s first cover girl when it was launched 13 years ago, was forbidden by Cesar to do sexy roles when they tied the knot in September 2000.
“At first I couldn’t imagine myself doing a sexy pictorial again,” the 35-year-old actress was quoted as saying on FHM.com.ph. “But at the same time, I’d like you to know that I was really excited to do this cover. Matagal din naman talaga akong nag-lie low, 13 years nga to be exact. I’m very honored you never stopped asking me back, kahit may tatlong kids na ako (I’ve lain low for a long time, 13 years to be exact. I’m very honored you never stopped asking me back, even when I’ve already had three kids.).”
