Family over career. Soon after announcing the Darna cast last Wednesday, GMA-7 already made some changes by Sunday—including switching roles and dropping stars.
Ehra Madrigal and Maggie Wilson switched roles and now play Babaeng Lawin and Babaeng Linta respectively.
Meanwhile, Isabel Oli, who was originally cast as Babaeng Tuod, has been taken out of the series—and this has nothing to do with co-stars Nadine Samonte, her former best friend, and Paolo Contis, her former boyfriend.
It’s actually because of her father. The new Fuller Life endorser has been spending much of her time in Singapore to be with her dad, who is suffering from cerebral degeneration. Last Tuesday, at midnight, Isabel’s dad was brought to Manila for further testing. Her priority now is to be a dutiful daughter, and not to play a Darna villainess.
