Sarah Geronimo seems to have it all: a loving family, throngs of loyal supporters, and a great career marked by numerous awards. This was probably what prompted veteran composer Vehnee Saturno to remark during the 25th Awit Awards that the only thing the Pop Princess doesn’t have is a boyfriend. "Boyfriend na lang ang kulang (The only thing she lacks is a boyfriend.),” he was quoted as saying in an article on ABS-CBNNews.com.
However, Sarah reportedly disagreed when she was asked to comment about it, saying that being in a relationship won’t necessarily make her more complete. "Hindi totoo 'yon," she said. "Hindi naman 'yun ang makakapag-kumpleto sa 'kin as a person. 'Yung pagmamahal ko talaga, unang-una muna sa Diyos, at sa sarili ko, kailangan matutunan ko 'yun (That’s not true. That won’t make me complete as a person. I will love the Lord first, then I should learn to love myself.)."
The 24-year-old star also declined to talk about Gerald Anderson, who had stopped courting Sarah earlier this year because her parents supposedly disapproved of him for their daughter. "Huwag na lang po natin pag-usapan,” she said. "Panalo na ako sa mga pagmamahal ng mga tao sa paligid ko eh. Wala na akong hihilingin pa (Let’s not talk about that. I've already won because of the love of the people around me. I couldn’t ask for anything more)."
