In May, we compiled a list of celebrity mommies and asked you to vote for your favorite lady. After a month of voting, the results are in! New mommy and Asia's Songbird Regine Velasquez stood out from the rest, earning 14,669 out of 29,764 votes (49.28 percent). Congratulations, Ms. Regine, for gaining the title of Favorite Celebrity Mom on Female Network!
Regine might have only given birth to baby Nate in November 2011, but that didn't stop FNites from acknowledging and appreciating her efforts in taking care of her son. Her husband, Ogie Alcasid, even calls her the perfect wife and mother.
The singer-actress regularly tweets about Nate on her official Twitter account, @reginevalcasid. In fact, when a picture of baby Nate she posted on Instagram got a comment saying, "Pangit mo (You're ugly)," mommy Regine immediately went to her son's rescue, tweeting, "Okay lang sa 'kin na laitin niyo 'ko, sabihin niyo pangit, mataba, baboy, baka, at kung anu-ano pa. Okay lang 'yan sa 'kin pero 'wag naman si Nate. (It's okay with me if you lambast me, call me ugly, fat, pig, cow, and whatever name you can think of. That's fine with me, but please don't involve Nate.)"
Her career is also temporarily taking the backseat as she focuses on taking care of Nate and works on losing her pregnancy weight.
