Celebrity couple Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto formally filed charges of physical injuries and child abuse under the Rep. Act 7610 or Anti-Child Abuse Act against Ramon "Mon" Tulfo at the Pasay Prosecutor's Office on May 9, PEP.ph reports. They are also deliberating on when to charge Mon's brothers Ben, Raffy, and Erwin with a grave threats case for the comments they made on TV5's T3 Kapatid, Sagot Kita! This came on the heels of the charges of grave coercion and physical injury filed against Claudine and Raymart by Mon on Monday, May 7.
At the press hearing held after the couple formally filed the charges, Raymart grew teary-eyed at the memory of Mon attacking Claudine during the airport brawl on Sunday, May 6.
"Babae 'yan e. Bakit mo sisipain? Bakit mo itutulak? Nandito naman ako, e, di ba? Ako ang kalabanin mo (That's a woman. Why would you kick her? Why would you push her? I'm here, aren't I? Fight me instead)," Raymart said.
Another thing that's troubling the Barretto-Santiagos is the effect of the incident on their children, who have since seen a child psychologist for checkups.
Raymart shared, "Yung bunso ko, very protective sa nanay niya. E, nakita niya lahat, e. Sinasabi niya 'Who's that guy? Is he in jail now? The one who kicked my mom? (My youngest is very protective of his mom, and he saw everything. He'd say, 'Who's that guy? Is he in jail now? The one who kicked my mom?')."
Raymart also shared that a mysterious van has been circling the area near their house since the incident.
"Hindi ko sinasabing sila yun," he said. "Pero kuwento ng kapitbahay namin, nakikita rin nila yung van na umaaligid sa tapat ng bahay namin (I'm not saying it's them. But our neighbors have also seen the same van going around our house.)"
The family has enlisted the help of the Philippine National Police (PNP). Security guards are now also stationed around the vicinity of their home.
