Quizon Family Prays for Zsa Zsa's Recovery from Cancer

Actor Epy Quizon revealed that he, along with the rest of the Quizon clan, was shocked by Zsa Zsa Padilla’s admission that she has cancer. The Divine Diva, who was the longtime partner of Epy’s father, the late Comedy King Dolphy, revealed on August 19 that she had been diagnosed with Stage 1 kidney cancer.

During an interview with PEP.ph at the 4th Pidol’s Golf Cup held at Eastridge Golf Course in Binangonan, Rizal, Epy had admitted that the news came as a shock to the whole family. Before, they only knew that she had a large cyst in her kidney.

“Well, of course alam na namin 'nung funeral service pa lang na mayroon siyang cyst the size of a golf ball (Well, of course we already knew during the funeral service that she had a cyst the size of a golf ball),” Epy said. “Hopefully, this is curable. Hopefully, the doctor can do something about this.”

Zsa Zsa may not have been Dolphy’s legal wife, but Epy still stressed that the whole Quizon family is hoping for her speedy recovery.

“Of course, we are behind her on this trial. Nakasuporta ang buong pamilya,” Epy said. “Later, mag-o-offer ako ng prayer for her fast recovery (She has the support of the whole family. Later, I will offer a prayer for her fast recovery.).”

“Actually, kaninang umaga tinext ko siya,” he shared. “Di pa kami nakakapag-usap talaga, pero kaninang umaga nung nalaman ko siya kagabi, tinext ko siya. “Sabi ko, ‘The family is praying for her, that we are beside her, behind her in this trial.’ Hayun, nag-respond siya, ‘Thank you, Epy.’ (I actually texted her this morning. We haven’t really talked yet, but this morning, after I found about it last night, I texted her, ‘The family is praying for her, that we are beside her, behind her in this trial.’ She responded, ‘Thank you, Epy.’)”

Epy also asked the people to pray for Zsa Zsa just like when they did for Dolphy a few weeks back. “Ang pakiusap ko lang din sa lahat, kung ano ang prayers na 'binigay ninyo sa pamilya namin, sana i-extend ninyo rin para kay Zsa-Zsa (I’m asking everyone, whatever prayers you offered for our family, I hope you extend them also for Zsa Zsa.),” Epy added.

“Zsa, we will be praying for you. The family is behind you all the way, nandito lang kami (we’ll just be here),” Epy assured the Divine Diva. “Keep the faith. I know you’re a strong-willed person and you can fight this thing off. Like a golf ball, io-O.B. (out of bounds) natin itong bolang ito para hindi na bumalik (Like a golf ball, we’ll hit this ball out of bounds so it won’t return.).”
