Anne Curtis, Lovi Poe, and More of YES! Magazine's 100 Most Beautiful Stars

YES! Magazine held a star-studded press conference for its 100 Most Beautiful Stars special for 2012 on July 2 at the Eastwood Richmonde Hotel. A lot of celebrities who got into this year's list made an appearance, among them actresses Erich Gonzales, Lovi Poe, Kylie Padilla, Bela Padilla, Alice Dixson, and Cherry Pie Picache as well as actors Jake Cuenca, Ronnie Lazaro, Rocco Nacino, and Martin Escudero.

Other stars who attended the launch were Barbie Forteza, Bea Binene, Carl Guevara, Derrick Monasterio, Edgar Allan Guzman, Gabby Eigenmann, Jake Vargas, Janine Gutierrez, Joyce Ching, Kris Bernal, Kristoffer Martin, Martin del Rosario, LJ Reyes, Max Collins, Ritz Azul, and Rochelle Pangilinan.

YES! editor-in-chief Jo-Ann Maglipon thanked the members of the media who came to the press conference. She shared how the staff of YES! Magazine submitted their own bets for this year's list and debated upon who would make it to the final 100 in several meetings.

The highlight of the event was the unveiling of the cover, which featured Anne Curtis. Anne was the top choice on all the YES! staffers' lists, which made her the undisputed pick for this year's cover girl.

"Anne makes it so easy," Jo-Ann shared of the cover shoot with Anne. "The team was so informal. We were just eating and leaving her alone while she was having her makeup [done]. And she kept singing and singing and singing. So we got a free concert in the studio! She kept it so light, even the actual shoot was so light, that in the end, hindi namin napansin tapos na pala!"

The actress herself attended the press conference and shared her own thoughts on beauty with the press. She said she felt her most beautiful whenever she's happy.  "It really is based on how my life is going, my career, if I got enough sleep, if I'm happy with how things are going. Makikikita mo naman, blooming!"

When asked about her best beauty secret, she said, "Just love yourself, diba? We were born this way, sabi nga ni Lady Gaga. Just love yourself. Be content with what you have, and make the most out of it."

The star thanked YES! for picking her as this year's cover girl and added that singing was much easier than making a speech. "Gusto niyo ba kumanta ako?" Anne asked the media, a smile on her face. When a chorus of agreement met her words, she launched into a spirited stanza of Carly Rae Jepsen's "Call Me Maybe."
