After the success of their silver screen team-up in Every Breath U Take, actor Piolo Pascual and actress Angelica Panganiban are starring in an upcoming teleserye called Apoy sa Dagat, PEP.ph reports. The last time they worked on a soap together was on Mangarap Ka. "We’re so excited. We worked for one year for Every Breath U Take, and this time around, after Mangarap Ka, I think, para kaming nag-full circle kasi she was 17 [years old] then when we did Mangarap Ka."
Piolo only had good things to say about his co-star. "She brings out the funny side of me," he is quoted as saying. "Yesterday, when we were doing the look test, para kaming mga loko-loko, kami lang yung tawa nang tawa. Sabi niya, nakakatawa pala ako. Sabi ko, 'I’m only like that when I’m with you.' (Yesterday, when we were doing the look test, the two of us looked crazy. We were the only ones laughing and laughing. She said she didn't know I was this funny. I said, 'I'm only like this when I'm with you.')"
"Feeling ko ‘pag siya yung kasama ko, lumalabas yung pagka-kulit ko (I feel like when I'm with her my spontaneous side comes out)," he added with a smile. "And I like it because I feel like a kid when I’m around her."
Angelica herself has previously mentioned feeling the same ease when she's working with Piolo. "Hindi ako nahihiya sa kanya. Sobrang kapal na nga ng mukha ko 'pag kasama ko siya (I don't get shy. I'm very confident when I'm with him)," she is quoted as saying.
