Ever wondered what goes on behind the scenes of GMA-7's primetime blockbuster Dyesebel?FemaleNetwork visited the show's set on their last taping day at the Danarra Hotel in Quezon City, where they wrapped up underwater scenes involving lead stars Dingdong Dantes (Fredo) and Marian Rivera (Dyesebel), and antagonist Bianca King (Betty), among others.
This particular shoot finds Fredo already sporting his own gills and scales made of silicon, which, according to Dingdong, took about three hours to put together. Meanwhile, because of the effect of Dyesebel's necklace on whoever wears it, Betty becomes a mermaid herself, enabling her to challenge Dyesebel underwater for Fredo's love.
With the series slated to end this Friday, Dingdong and Marian couldn’t help but be nostalgic about the show.
"Masaya sa set, parang naglalaro lang kami noong una," said Dingdong. "Exciting 'yung shoot sa Palawan, mamimiss ko 'yun. Pero sabi nga, all good things must come to an end."
"Mamimiss ko ang lahat, lalo na si Direk Joyce Bernal. [Pero] si Dong, hindi ko mamimiss," Marian joked, in an indirect reference to doing another project with him soon.
