In an interview with Pep.ph, Nora Aunor shared that she wants to direct indie films. According to the veteran actress, she was inspired by her experience as mentor and co-actor to the male finalists of the TV5 show Artista Academy. Two indie films, namely, Brillante Mendoza’s Thy Womb and Mark Meily’s El Presidente, also made her want to make movies.
"Gusto kong mag-produce ng indie films... gusto kong magdirek ng pelikula! (I want to produce indie films… I want to direct movies!)" she was quoted as saying.
In fact, the multi-awarded icon was so inspired that she already bought digital movie cameras. "Kailangan ko lang ng magaling na cinematographer para i-guide ako… talagang magdidirek ako (I just need a great cinematographer to guide me… I’ll definitely direct movies)," she said.
The Superstar added that she intends to revive her former production and record outfits, NV/NCV (the acronyms stand for the initials of Ate Guy's full name, Nora Cabaltera Villamayor) Productions and NV Records.
