Actor Robin Padilla, who starred in the teleserye Guns and Roses in 2011, is the Filipino teens' choice for favorite actor, according to "The Teen Research Unlimited (TRU) Study: 2012 Philippine Edition," ABS-CBNNews.com reports. TRU associate research director Abegail Barcelona told the media that the survey was done from June to July 2011 on teens (12-19 years old) and young adults (20-24 years old). Robin topped the list for both age groups.
Meanwhile, actor Coco Martin, current protagonist of primetime teleserye Walang Hanggan, ranked second among both teens and young adults. Barcelona said this was because of ABS-CBN teleserye Minsan Lang Kita Iibigin's popularity.
Three more Kapamilya stars landed in the top five. Actresses Angel Locsin and Kim Chiu tied in fourth place among teens, and singer Sarah Geronimo placed fifth. Angel and Sarah also retained their spots in the young adult survey.
Meanwhile, Kapuso actress Marian Rivera ranked third in both the teen and young adult surveys.
