Philippine Azkals player Phil Younghusband will be appearing alongside actress Angel Locsin in the sitcom Toda Max on Saturday, April 14, ABS-CBNNews.com reports. This is Phil's first venture into acting on TV, having once said that he will only star in movies that will help him promote football.
According to the report, he will be playing a role that will have him fighting against Tol, Robin Padilla's character, in order to claim Isabel's heart. Angel, Phil's rumored girlfriend, plays Isabel in the show.
Among the other cast members of the show are TV host and comedic actor Vhong Navarro as well as comedienne Pokwang.
While Phil hasn't acted in the past, he already made his small screen debut on the singing competition Celebrity Duets in 2008.
