Mon Tulfo Files Charges against Raymart Santiago and Claudine Barretto after Airport Altercation

After the airport brawl that broke out between Ramon "Mon" Tulfo and Raymart Santiago on Sunday, May 6, the broadcaster filed charges of grave coercion and physical injury against Santiago and wife Claudine Barretto. According to Inquirer.net, when Mon dropped by the Prosecutor's Office on Monday, May 7, his black eye was all that he brought for evidence.

"I would have charged this to experience," Mon told The Inquirer, "But the cussing I received from her (Claudine) changed my mind. Besides, this should serve as a lesson to them to respect lowly people. Inalipusta niya yung pobreng empleyado (she ridiculed the poor employee)," he added.

It seems, however, that Tulfo's actions weren't enough for his family. PEP.ph reports that Mon's brothers Ben, Raffy, and Erwin spent over 6 minutes on their public service show on TV5, T3: Kapatid, Sagot Kita, airing out their thoughts and opinions on the incident. The trio also unleashed a series of threatening statements directed at Raymart and Claudine.

Raffy said, "Huwag lang sana tayong magpang-abot sa mall. Idasal mo na huwag sana tayong magkita sa mall. Ipagdasal mo ‘yan (Let's just hope we don't encounter each other in the mall. You better pray that we don't see each other in the mall. Pray for that)."

Erwin added, "Ipinapayo ko sa iyo at sa asawa mo, huwag ka munang lumabas sana. Dahil kapag nagpaabot tayo sa NAIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, tatamaan at tatamaan ka. Ipagdasal mo na lamang na huwag tayong magkrus ng landas. (I advise you and your wife, don't go out first. Beacuse if we see each other in NAIA Terminal 1, Terminal 2, Terminal 3, you will get hit. You better pray that we don't cross paths.)"

This morning, PEP.ph reports that Erwin apologized for the statements on his radio program Punto Asintado. "Kung kayo ho ay... kung hindi ninyo nagustuhan, kahit hindi kayo kasama sa problemang ito, ang amin pong paumanhin (If you didn't like our statements, even if you aren't involved in the problem, we apologize)," he said.

According to PEP.ph, Mon also reprimanded his brothers for what they said. In an interview with Alex Santos and Bernadette Sembrano on Umagang Kay Ganda, he admitted that his brothers were at fault.

"Sinabi ko nga, 'Maling-mali ang ginawa ninyo. Hindi ninyo dapat sinabi 'yan.' Unang-una, yung public opinion, nasa atin na. Saka yung revenge, e, is the lowest form of retaliation,' 'yon ang sabi ko. (I told them, 'What you did was wrong. You shouldn't have said that.' First of all, we have the public opinion. And I told them, revenge is the lowest form of retaliation.)"

When asked by radio dzBB if he intends to file a complaint against Mon, Raymart answered "Opo (yes)."
