Actress Kristen Stewart apologized to her boyfriend, Robert Pattinson, for having a fling with the director of her latest movie, Snow White and the Huntsman.
According to Reuters, Kristen, who is 22, was photographed kissing and embracing director Rupert Sanders, who is 41. Rupert is married to model and actress Liberty Ross, who ironically plays Kristen’s mom in the movie. The couple has two children.
Kristen, who is famous for maintaining her privacy, has released a statement expressing her regret over the affair.
"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry."
Rupert also issued a statement to Reuters, saying that he had likewise made a lapse of judgment.
"I am utterly distraught about the pain I have caused my family," he said. "My beautiful wife and heavenly children are all I have in this world. I love them with all my heart. I am praying that we can get through this together."
