Ouch! The battle for noontime supremacy is heating up again, thanks to Willie Revillame’s phone-in comment in Wowowee.
He said that after watching the competition (Eat Bulaga!) while in his hospital bed, he found that theirs (Wowowee) is still the better show.
Of course the ‘love your own’ principle will prevail no matter what, and Willie has the right to claim that Wowowee is better than Eat Bulaga! That is why the Eat Bulaga! camp ignored his comment this time.
Joey de Leon, who is promoting his new GMA show, Joey’s Quirky World (which will premiere on March 1 replacing Takeshi’s Castle), also refrained—as much as possible—from commenting on the matter, had the press not pressed him (pardon the pun) to do so. He left the competition this one-liner: "May sakit na nga, walang hiya pa rin."
