Marian Rivera Gives Ducati Motorcycle to Dingdong Dantes, Calls Him "Priceless"

This Christmas, Amaya actress Marian Rivera gave boyfriend Dingdong Dantes a Ducati motorcycle, an expensive gift PEP.ph estimates to be worth at least P1 million. She was all smiles at the Luminary Talents Christmas party held for the entertainment press on December 8 when she answered queries about her choice of gift.

"Actually, wala sa mahal 'yan, kung anong bagay 'yan (Actually, it doesn't matter how expensive something is or what the gift is)," she is quoted as saying. "Kasi si Dong, hindi mo maitutumbas kahit gaano pa kamahal or ka-cheap na regalo. Para kasi sa akin, priceless si Dong. Deserve niya 'yan dahil sa pagmamahal na ibinibigay niya sa akin; kulang pa 'yang materyal na bagay na 'yan. (No matter how expensive or cheap a gift is, it just can't compare to Dong. For me, he's priceless. He deserves [the Ducati] because of all the love he's given me. This material gift doesn't even come close to what he's done for me.)"

She added that she doesn't expect to get something as expensive in return. "Tulad ng sabi [ni Dingdong], at alam kong sinabi ko yun sa kanya, hindi ako mahirap i-please. Kahit ano pa 'yan, madali akong pasayahin. (Like what Dingdong said, and I know I said this to him, I'm not hard to please. Whatever he gives me, he can make me happy easily.)"

She applies the same attitude to the gifts she gives her family. "Basta happy lang ako na masaya sila kung ano ang binigay ko. The reason kung bakit ako nagtatrabaho, siguro para sa sarili ko, makaipon ako, maging okay ako. At [kung] mapasaya ko at ma-extend ko kung ano ang meron ako sa pamilya ko, mga mahal ko sa buhay, bakit naman hindi? (I'm just happy that they're happy with what I give them. The reason I work is to save up for myself and to make sure I live well. And if I can extend what I have to my family, my loved ones, and make them happy, why not?)"
