Luis Manzano says that he and his girlfriend Jennylyn Mercado are both happy in their relationship. He adds that they don't consider their numerous projects granted a hindrance to their romance.
“Okay din naman. We’re very happy,” Luis was quoted as saying in an article by PEP.ph. “She’s very busy. Napaka-blessed niya when it comes to work sa kabila (She has been very blessed when it comes to work in the other station). So we’re very happy pa rin.”
Luis and Jennylyn are set to celebrate their first anniversary as a couple soon, and he revealed that they are hoping to take a few days off for a much-needed vacation. “Hopefully, we get to take a quick break— a quick vacation somewhere. Medyo marami lang talagang ginagawa ngayon (It’s just that we’re really doing a lot of things right now.).”
Luis also shared a few of their secrets to keeping their relationship strong. "You always have to keep a bit for yourselves… you may be showbiz personalities pero you don’t need to open every door to the public,” he said.
"Higit sa lahat, nirerespeto namin yung trabaho ng isa’t isa. Walang pakialamanan sa trabaho. It doesn’t matter naman what station at lahat-lahat, it’s just how you manage it (More than anything, we respect each other’s work. We don’t intervene when it comes to work. It doesn’t matter which station we are in, it’s just how you manage it.)."
Luis says that though both of them have busy schedules, they still do their best to work around the little time they can spend with each other. "We have to have time. We always respect each other’s schedule," he said. “I will never demand time, the same way na never ka puwedeng mag-demand ng time sa isang artista. Ang hirap kasi talaga. Pero, pag nakakahanap 'yun ng common ground, ng common denominator na oras, you have to make the most out of it (I will never demand time, the same way that you can never demand time from a showbiz personality. It’s really difficult. But when you find a common ground, a common denominator when it comes to your time, you have to make the most out of it.)."
