Kris Aquino believes that the photo shared by actress Angelica Panganiban on the popular photo sharing app Instagram was posted with John Lloyd Cruz’s consent. However, according to an article by ABS-CBNNews.com, the actress-host, who is a good friend of Angelica, also said that it doesn’t confirm any of the rumors circulating about the relationship status of the two.
"I don't think they are saying na kami na but I think sinasabi nila na 'yes we are getting closer,'" Kris was quoted as saying on the August 15 episode of her show KrisTV. "And wala namang masama doon because both are very much single and both have the right to have their happiness (I don’t think they are saying that they are already an item, but I think they are declaring ‘yes, we are getting closer.’ And there’s nothing wrong with that because both are very much single and both have the right to have their happiness.)."
Meanwhile, when Angelica’s ex, hunk actor Derek Ramsay, was asked for his opinion on the controversial photo via the social networking website Twitter, he responded by simply asking people to be happy for his former girlfriend.
"@pipawlala I don't know if they are together but Angel looks happy. Lets be happy for her," he had replied to a follower.
He also defended Angelica from a particularly harsh tweet saying that Angelica and John Lloyd make a good pair because they are both drunkards and cheaters.
"@xzyoume hi! Pls don't be like that. Lets be happy for Angel. She isn't a cheater," he said.
Angelica and Derek broke up last May, around the same time that John Lloyd and Shaina Magdayao announced that they have split.
