The Bureau of Internal Revenue has just released its list of Top 500 Individual Taxpayers for 2010, PEP.ph reports. The Queen of All Media, Kris Aquino, was the first celebrity on the list, landing at no. 17 with a total taxable income of P101 million and P32.3 million paid in taxes.
Meanwhile, Wil Time Bigtime TV host Willie Revillame ranked 21st with an income of P82 million and P20.9 million paid in taxes. Comedian Michael V. was the last celebrity to make it to the top 50. At no. 40, he paid P20.9 million in taxes for his income of P65.5 million.
Other stars who made the top 100 were Sharon Cuneta (no. 58), Sarah Geronimo (no. 67), Piolo Pascual (no. 76), Marian Rivera (no. 86), John Lloyd Cruz (no. 95), and Claudine Barretto (no. 99).
National artist Carlo J. Caparas, a comic book creator who also writes scripts and directs shows, was the highest taxpayer from the showbiz industry, ranking no. 3 with a total taxable income of P205.3 million and P65.6 million paid in taxes.
