We compiled a list of teleserye actresses in June and asked you to vote for the star you believed had the best acting skills. After a month of voting, the results are in! Congratulations to Kim Chiu for being voted the FNites' choice for best teleserye actress, garnering 21,767 out of 44,279 votes (49.16 percent).
Kim started her career as an actress after winning the first season of Pinoy Big Brother: Teen Edition. Before she ventured into the world of teleserye, she acted in movies alongside love team partner Gerald Anderson. They were also an on-screen couple in her first ever teleserye, Sana Maulit Muli, in 2007. Since then, she has starred in at least five other teleseryes. She is also included in the cast of upcoming show Ina, Anak, Kapatid with her current love team partner, Xian Lim.
For her efforts, Kim has been nominated for best actress by various award-giving bodies. She recently won Princess of Philippine Television at the 2012 Guillermo Mendoza Memorial Scholarship Foundation Awards.
