KC Concepcion says that from the moment they met each other, she and her French suitor, Pierre Emmanuel Plassart, immediately got off on the right foot.
“Mayroon namang pinapakitang maganda na parang he's serious about what he wants out of this,” KC was quoted as saying in an interview with ABS-CBNNews.com. “Nakilala ko siya wala pa siyang kaalam-alam tungkol sa isa't isa. I didn't know who his family was. He didn't know kung ano ginagawa ko, kung saan ako galing, anong bansa ba ako galing so maganda ang umpisa. Wherever that takes us, ang sa akin maganda nag-umpisa (It’s good that he’s serious about what he wants out of this. When I met him, we didn’t know anything about each other. I didn’t who his family was. He didn’t know about my job, where I came from, from which country I hailed from, so we got off to a good start. Wherever that takes us, for me, we started off on the right foot.).”
KC also said that the fact that her parents approve of Pierre is a great deal for her. “Opo naman. Of course, of course. And kay Mama, siya una nagpakilala actually. So mommy ko na lang nagpakilala sa amin,” she shared. “Sinasabi nga niya na favorite niya ‘yun. Pero ako naman wala naman dapat favorite favorite. Siyempre kapag humarap naman ang lalaki sa akin o sa pamilya ko, it means a lot to me (Yes, of course. And my Mama, she was the one who first got to know him, actually. So my mommy was the one who introduced us. She even said that he’s her favorite. But for me, there shouldn’t be any favorites. Of course when a guy meets me or my family, it means a lot to me.)
When she was asked if she’s open to enter into a long-distance relationship with Pierre, who is based in France, KC said, “I guess it's hard, you know, but at the same time if you really want it to work then it'll really happen.”
But though she’s happy that she and Pierre are growing close, she also said that she would rather take things slow for now. “I do [feel good about this] but he knows that I want to pick up the pieces. Nandoon kasi ako sa time in my life kung saan I need to pick up the pieces. Ang daming nag-iba simula nung last year so I'm taking things one step at a time (I’m at a point in my life where I need to pick up the pieces. Since last year, there were so many things that happened differently, so I’m taking things one step at a time),” KC said.
