KC Concepcion is helping the relief efforts of the United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) for the thousands of families in Mindanao that were affected by typhoon Pablo, the deadliest typhoon to hit the country in 2012.
ABS-CBNNews.com reports that the 27-year-old actress, who is WFP Philippines’ National Ambassador Against Hunger, visited New Bataan, Compostela Valley on December 12 to assist in the distribution of goods to the many people who were displaced by the typhoon.
KC had chronicled her experience on her Twitter account, where she also continues to call for donations for Pablo’s victims.
The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) reports that as of the morning of December 14, Pablo’s death toll had climbed to 906, with 2,660 injured and 932 reported missing.
