Johnny Depp keeps promise to 12-year-old boy

Jun 25, 2008 by FN's Shar Bareng

johnnydepp_fn.jpgWe've had enough news of Hollywood stars going bad left and right, from doing drugs to getting arrested for DUI. So we really have reason to cheer for one of Tinseltown's happy stories lately of Johnny Depp keeping his promise to a 12-year-old boy.

While out shooting Public Enemies on location in Wisconsin last April, 12-year-old Jack Taylor reportedly noticed Johnny's fedora hat and asked the actor if he could have it. Depp said yes, but only after they've finished the film. Two months later, Jack received a package from Johnny containing the hat and even Charlie and the Chocolate Factory gift items for him and his siblings! How sweet can Johnny get? It's no wonder he has a lot of kid admirers!

Now that's a nice, heartwarming Hollywood story we'd like to get more of.
