On August 28, Angelica Panganiban posted a photo collage on the photo-sharing website Instagram. Three photos were combined in the picture: a photo of the actress sitting on what looked like a car’s driver’s seat, a Mercedes Benz logo engraved on a steering wheel, and the dashboard of a car.
According to some of Angelica’s Instagram followers, the car is a Mercedes Benz SLK. It seemed to be quite new as the odometer only read 60.6 kilometers in the photo. Some of them also said that the pricey car was a gift from John Lloyd Cruz, who is rumored to be dating Angelica.
One user, Phobeornotobe, commented on the photo, “Galante ni JLC 5 mil benz delivered last week (JLC is so generous, he had a 5 million Benz delivered last week).” Another user, Mitchblithe, added, “with matching chocolates and flowers inside the benz car.. sweet papa JL..”
An anonymous source told PEP.ph that John Lloyd had, indeed, given Angelica a white Mercedes Benz SLK350. According to the source, the actor had ordered it from the Mercedes Benz showroom along EDSA a few months ago and had paid P5.1 million in cash for it.
The source added that John Lloyd had also requested the car to be delivered first to his home in Valle Verde, where it arrived two Sundays ago. According to the source, John Lloyd had personally inspected the car and placed flowers and chocolates inside it before having it taken to Angelica's home.
As of press time, PEP.ph is still waiting for confirmation on the news from both John Lloyd and Angelica’s handlers.
