After a lot of negotiations, it's finally confirmed: American Idol runner-up Jessica Sanchez will be doing a series of solo shows in the country.
FM station Radio High 105.9 will be bringing in the Filipino-Mexican singer to the country in October for a concert tour, reports Inquirer.net. Sanchez will perform in five cities: Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, and her mother’s hometown, Bataan.
In an earlier article, a source had told Inquirer.net that local promoters had wanted to stage a solo concert for Sanchez since American Idol's Top 6 episode aired, but previous negotiations were muddled by a US-based agent for visiting foreign acts. It was 105.9 CEO and veteran concert promoter Francis Lumen who initiated new negotiations and succeeded in the quest to bring the 16-year-old songstress to the country.
Sanchez is also slated to perform on September 21 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum for the American Idol Season 11 concert tour.
