The Twitter world was abuzz on January 4 when word got around that international pop star
Janet Jackson will be coming to the
Philippines for a concert in
February. Model-actress
Bubbles Paraiso immediately
clamored for tickets saying, “omg janet jackson is coming to manila????? whos producing?? i wana get tickets!!!!” Meanwhile, fashion designer-milliner
Mich Dulce already
had pre-concert activities in mind: “I want to watch janet jackson w my CADs friends so that we can do all the dance moves together!!! getting my bandana and baggy pants ready!”
The news was later confirmed on
PhilStar.com and
Spot.PH: Janet will be going on her “Number Ones, Up Close and Personal” world tour in 35 cities this year and her first stop is Manila! She will be performing 35 of her number one songs at the
Philippine International Convention Center Plenary Hall on February 4 at 8pm. The same Philstar.com article states that one song will be dedicated to each city included in the tour. Janet will also be honoring 20 exemplary young individuals “whose lives and work have enriched their communities.”
