Actor Enchong Dee revealed that he intends to court young actress Julia Montes at a press conference for Nutrilife on October 22, reports Push.com.ph. Sixteen-year-old Julia played Clara in the teleserye Mara Clara earlier this year, while 22-year-old Enchong currently stars as Luis in the Philippine remake of Maria La Del Barrio.
Enchong admitted he's had a crush on Julia for a while now, but said he wasn't in a hurry to take their relationship to the next level. "Basta ang masasabi ko lang masaya ako na not necessarily having a girlfriend or having a relationship naman yun eh (All I can say is I'm happy, and that doesn't necessarily mean I have to have a girlfriend or a relationship)," he told Push.com.ph. "Basta yung inspiration lang para uuwi ka masaya ka, yung mga ganun. (I just want inspiration that will make me happy when I go home, that kind of thing.)"
He also said he was willing to wait for Julia to turn 18. "Bigyan niyo naman ako ng pagkakataon manligaw (Give me a chance to court her first)," he said, laughing. He admitted that they're very close and happy. "Siguro mas padalagahin pa natin siya, ganun. Hindi pa kami. Hindi pa naman. (Let's wait for her to grow into a lady some more. We're not together. Not yet.)"
In the meantime, Enchong just wants to get Julia's seal of approval. "Oo ba, kung sasagutin ako, ano na (Yes, if she accepts me, then that's it)," he joked. "Nung galing siya ng tour may binigay na siya sa akin eh. Pabango. Okay na ako sa pabango. (When she got back from her tour, she gave me something. Perfume. I'm already fine with just perfume.)"
