Heart Evangelista Says She and Chiz Escudero are Still Getting to Know Each Other

The actress shares that she and the senator "go out a lot."

Heart Evangelista, who is being linked to Senator Chiz Escudero, admits that she is spending a lot of time with the politician. However, she clarifies that they are not dating.

“We talk about a lot of things. But, dating ba ‘yan or going out, I’m just confused, it’s just like that. I’m not really in a rush,” the Kapuso actress was quoted as saying in an article by PEP.ph.

“But I’m still taking my time. I’m just enjoying. It’s too early,” she further said.

Heart, who is 27, also shared that she and the 43-year-old senator get along quite well. “He’s very down to earth. He’s not as serious as he is,” she said. “We talk about my education, places we’ve been to, books… We just get along. Whatever he talks about, I can talk about what he’s talking. We can go on and on talking.”

Heart also said that she might wait for six more months before she declares herself ready to enter into a new relationship. “Probably after six months or it can be a year… I don’t know,” she said. “I don’t want to plan things. Dati kasi pinaplano ko ang mga bagay-bagay (I used to plan things before.).  Now, I just go with the flow.”

The actress has also pledged to keep her next relationship as private as possible.“I think I’ve learned it the hard way but, definitely, I want my relationship to be private this time,” she said. “Kasi ang hirap. Nothing is certain in life and then you break up… Ang dami ko nang breakups. Mas mabuti nang tahimik. Gusto ko namang pag-usapan ang pinaghihirapan ko, pinagtatrabahuhan ko, at hindi na lang puro personal na buhay. At saka, mas marami ang nasasaktan kapag public kayo sa relationship (Because it's difficult. Nothing is certain in life and then you break up… I've already been through a lot of breakups. It's better if things are quiet. I want to talk about what I've earned, what I worked hard for, and not just my personal life. Besides, more people end up getting hurt when you make your relationship public.).”
