Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero stole the spotlight when he showed up at the Rotary Golden Wheel Awards on October 20 with his girlfriend, actress Heart Evangelista.
According to an article on ABS-CBNNews.com, Heart had proudly looked on as Escudero, who was recognized for his political and legislative achievements, delivered his acknowledgement speech.
“Kakaiba ang gabing ito dahil ngayong gabing ito, wala kaming pagpunang naririnig kundi pagkilala, pagtanaw at pasasalamat sa trabahong gingampanan namin sa mga nagdaang taon, buwan alang-alang sa mas nakatataas na interes ng ating mga kababayan (This night is special because tonight, we will not be hearing criticism, but acknowledgement and gratitude for our accomplishments in the past year for the higher interests of our countrymen),” he was quoted in the article.
Though the senator did not mention Heart in his speech, the couple looked happy as they talked to each other back at their table.
The two have been going out on dates for a few months before the senator admitted that they are, indeed, in a relationship.
