Heart Evangelista said in an interview that aired in the Sunday talk show The Buzz that she was not referring to Senator Francis "Chiz" Escudero when she posted a tweet saying that she misses "Chiz curls." However, she did admit that she and the senator text each other frequently.
“Hindi talaga siya 'yun pero dahil lagi ko siyang ka-text, 'yung chiz curls, yung chiz niya, nag-capital "C" kaya biglang siya. Pero hindi talaga siya 'yun. Nag-automatic ang iPhone ko at na-capital "C" kaya doon lang sumablay (I wasn't referring to him, but because we often text each other, the “chiz” part of chiz curls got capitalized so people thought it was him. But it really isn’t him. My iPhone automatically capitalized the letter "C," thus the confusion),” she was quoted as saying in an article by ABS-CBNNews.com.
When she was asked about the status of her relationship with the senator, she reiterated that she is still taking her time to get to know him. "Baka getting to know you ito dahil I’m really taking my time. I’m not in a rush and it’s always nice to get to know a person, dinner, kuwento kuwento (Maybe this is still the “getting to know you” stage because I’m really taking my time. I’m not in a rush, and it’s always nice to get to know a person, to have dinner, and talk to each other)," she said.
"I really don’t know what to call it these days. I’m so confused if it’s dating, meeting or a getting to know you… But whatever it is, we’re not officially together. I’m happy, period," she added.
