Heart Evangelista Admits to Going on Friendly Dates with Sid Lucero

"I'm dating pero hanggang d'un na lang," the star tells entertainment columnist Ricky Lo.

In an interview with entertainment writer Ricky Lo of The Philippine Star's "Funfare" column, actress Heart Evangelista, whose relationship with Brapanese actor-model Daniel Matsunaga ended in April, revealed that she and actor Sid Lucero have been going on friendly dates. Sid, who co-stars with her on primetime teleserye Legacy, is reportedly having problems with his girlfriend, who is a member of a band.

"I’m dating pero hanggang d’un lang," Heart is quoted as saying. "I go out with Sid but only on friendly dates." The actress also denied rumors that she was seeing Sen. Chiz Escudero, who recently announced he was separating from his wife, Tintin. Chiz himself told "Funfare," "Di po totoo."

In a separate interview on entertainment talk show Startalk TX, PEP.ph reports, Heart admitted that she and Sid are good friends. "We're very close," she said. But when asked if their friendship could turn into something more, she answered, "I'm not ready."

She added that Sid even confides in her about his own love problems, which she felt was evidence that he had no romantic interest in her. "He talks about his love life; I talk about my love life," she is quoted as saying. "If he was really interested, he wouldn’t open up to me about these things kasi dapat hindi ko malaman 'yun. So I don’t think so, but we’re very, very close.”
