Gloria Diaz Says Daughter Isabelle Daza Can Handle a Possible "War" Over Dingdong Dantes

Actress and beauty queen Gloria Diaz believes that her daughter, model and TV host Isabelle Daza, can handle a “war” as a result of being romantically linked to actor Dingdong Dantes.

Isabelle and Dingdong were introduced as the endorsers of a clothing line’s special consumer card in April. Dingdong is is in a relationship with actress Marian Rivera.

“But [Isabelle] is not the type to get somebody else's boyfriend. Hindi siya 'yung tipong ganun eh, nang-aagaw (But Isabelle is not the type to get somebody else’s boyfriend. She’s not the kind of person to chase after attached men),” the former Ms. Universe winner was quoted as saying in an article on ABS-CBNNews.com.

However, the veteran actress is concerned that her daughter might get attacked over the controversy. “Huwag lang sana siya awayin ng kung sinu-sino diyan. Kasi hindi niya kaya 'yan, mababa ang luha ni Belle eh, baka mapaiyak (I just hope that she won’t get picked on by people out there. She might not be able to handle it, Belle cries easily, so they might make her cry),” she said.

However, the former Ms. Universe winner may have nothing to fear: in an article on PEP.ph, Dingdong had described his relationship with the Kapuso actress as “at the peak of happiness.”

“Kung ire-rate at ira-rank ko yung relationship namin mula nang mag-umpisa kami, I think parang we’re at the peak of happiness,” he was quoted as saying in the article. “We’ve never been this happy. Parang ngayon, nagsi-sink in ang lahat dahil mas mature kami ngayon. Ang dami nang napagdaanan, ang saya lang ng feeling (If I were to rate and rank our relationship since we became a couple, I think we'd be at the peak of happiness. We've never been this happy. It's like everything's sinking in because we're more mature now. We've gone through a lot, it's a great feeling.).”
