Gerald Anderson Says He's Happy Sarah Geronimo Is More Open about Her Feelings

In an interview with PEP.ph on June 19, actor Gerald Anderson said he was content with his friendship with singer-actress Sarah Geronimo, whom he admitted he was courting in March.

"We’re good," he is quoted as saying. "Kumbaga, ‘yong friendship namin, sobrang malalim na. Marami na rin akong alam tungkol sa kanya at gano’n din siya. Sobrang inspirasyon siya sa akin. (Our friendship is very deep now. I already know a lot of things about her and vice versa. She's such an inspiration to me.)"

The actor also expressed his thanks to Sarah's parents for allowing him to visit her at home. "Nakakadalaw ako. Pero bihira lang kasi busy. ‘Yon nga, kaya po ako nagpapasalamat sa kanila, sa Geronimo family, kasi kahit papaano ay nagtiwala sila sa akin. (I visit her, but it hasn't happened often because I'm busy. I am very thankful to the Geronimo family because at least they trust me.)"

Gerald added that he was happy that Sarah seemed to be more open about expressing her feelings now compared to before. "It’s about time na siguro. Si Sarah, nandoon na rin siya sa edad na ‘yon, e. Hindi po kailangang itago ang nararamdaman mo for one person. (Sarah is at the right age. You don't need to hide your feelings for one person.) She’s blooming into a very beautiful woman inside and out. Someday mas magiging matured pa. "

As for whether Sarah and Gerald are ready to take their friendship to the next level, he said, “Ako, personally, ayaw ko naman pumasok sa isang relasyon na kailangang itago pa. Hindi po ako nagmamadali, and masaya naman po ako ngayon. (I personally don't want to get into a relationship that has to be hidden. I'm not in a hurry, and I'm happy with the way things are right now.)"
