Francis Magalona, fondly called "Master Rapper," passed away at around noon today, March 6, after battling with acute myelogenous leukemia. He was 44.
Eat Bulaga! host Vic Sotto announced Francis M's death on the noontime variety show. Francis M co-hosted the show before he was diagnosed with the disease last year.
He returned to the show in October and performed "Super Proxy" with Ely Buendia, who had also just recovered from his third heart surgery.
Before he was admitted to The Medical City in Pasig, Francis M wrote a blog entry in his Multiply site last January 14. "I look forward to the pain as I know my journey is on full speed ahead. I will not be bold to say that without asking a favor from you all. PLEASE PRAY for me as I undergo treatment. Your prayers, as always, have sustained me. And am sure the Lord will listen to all our prayers. To His will I submit myself," he wrote.
