Filipina Divas: Over 20 Female Singers

I like this. We are blessed here with so much talent! Wow I love ALL our beautiful Pinay singers old and new but lately I can't stop listening to Queen of Jazzipino Charmaine Clamor who I saw at the JazzFestival twice. So great. She just sang for Noynoy by request! Charmaine Clamor was our only Filipina on the album with David Byrne about Imelda. The world is hearing us ladies!

I am proud to be Pilipino when I listen to these talented ladies sing. Great list!

I think what makes her special is the fact that with her immense talent she went up SLOWLY but SURELY...And you won't feel shortchanged after her concerts. Expect her to deliver even if she's sick or paos. Making her the MOST CONSISTENT and MOST IDOLIZED DIVA or music icon for 25 years now. ^_^

Thanks for including Rachel Alejandro in this list. She oftentimes underrated so I happy to see her name in this list. Of course there are a few more names that could have been included here- Celeste Legaspi, Joanna Ampil, Geneva Cruz, Cooky Chua, Lolita Carbon, Bituin Escalante, Ana Fegi, Agot Isidro,Menchu Lauchengco... I could go on and on...

CAMILLE VELASCO....have you heard of her, she was in the same season as Trias far more better than Trias, vocally,and more appreciative of her Pinoy heritage rather than Trias, if you still remember what she had said, good thing that you didnt mention that Nicole WHATEVER IT IS of Pussycat Dolls, same thing as Trias also.

Hello I'm from Mexico and when I saw Charice at Youtube I felt a huge impression for his beautiful voice...And the most important thing is that she's an example for us 'cause in her youth is a woman that carries about her own family...Congratulations Charice I Admired you Greetings from Mexico. =)

Yes, she may not be able to penetrate the international scene (the MAINSTREAM Hollywood) but she had her shares of international awards/citations/and success, and everything i think is in written in many papers (with authority)



She's the most consistent female performer/concert artist/vocalist ever

that every newcomer aspires and dreams of becoming like her, to be with her, to sing with her, even to copy her (thats the sad truth)

Joey Albert is the best Filipino singer , rendering the most sentimental love songs like Tell Me, Iisa Pa Lamang, Ikaw Lang Ang Mamahalin, etc. She was the first OPM artist to record on CD or Compact Disc.
