According to actor Dingdong Dantes, he and longtime girlfriend Marian Rivera do not talk about marriage. However, the actor remains hopeful that wedding bells will still be in the cards for them.
“We don’t talk about it. Maybe we do believe that it would just come,” the 32-year-old actor was quoted as saying in an article by PEP.ph. “And mahirap namang madaliin siya just because kailangan. Mas magandang hindi madaliin siya because it feels like it would be spiritually right (And it would be difficult to rush marriage plans just because we have to. It would be better if we take our time, because it feels like it would be spiritually right.).”
“Ayoko namang sabihing may priorities kaming iba, kasi magandang bagay para sa akin 'yun. And I think, para sa kanya rin. So, timing lang talaga (I don’t want to say that we have other priorities, because it will be a good thing for me. And I think, for her as well. So, it’s really all about timing.).”
Dingdong, who is a supporter of responsible parenthood, also said that he would ideally like to have four children. When he was asked for his opinion on Marian’s quip that she wants to have a brood of 12, he jokingly said, “Doon na papasok ang responsible parenthood (That's where responsible parenthood comes in.).”
