The actress has told her older sister that she's sorry, but a subsequent tweet from Ara Mina may imply that the apology has not been accepted.

Actress Cristine Reyes has apologized to her sister, actress Ara Mina, on the ABS-CBN talk show The Buzz for her part in the family feud that began in April.

"I'm sorry, and I would like to apologize if ever I offended you, sumama ang loob mo sa akin," Cristine was quoted as saying in an article by ABS-CBNnews.com. "I tried my best na pumunta sa iyo, alam mo iyan, Ate. (I'm sorry and I would like to apologize if ever I offended you, if you harbored ill feelings towards me. I tried my best to go to you, you know that. I've even said that I'd kneel at your feet if you wanted me to.)"

"Sana lumambot na ang puso mo sa akin para maayos na itong gulo, para tahimik na, para sa ikakatahimik ng pamilya natin (I hope I can touch your heart so this mess can be fixed, so our family's life can be peaceful)," she continued.

After the show, however, ABS-CBNNews.com reports that Ara posted a tweet believed to be her response to Cristine’s apology.

Ara had tweeted the following quote: "'A stiff apology is a second insult...The injured party does not want to be compensated bec he has been wronged; he wants to be healed bec he has been hurt.' -G.K. Chesterton."

The siblings' dispute started when Cristine supposedly asked Ara to surrender a car as payment for the remaining P1.8-million balance for a townhouse they purchased for their mother last year. Later on, Cristine allegedly continued attacking Ara personally; Ara responded by filing a libel case against her younger sister. Ara had demanded that Cristine issue a public apology for the case to be withdrawn.
