Carla Abellana and Geoff Eigenmann have been a couple for three years, which is a real feat, considering the many intrigues they regularly face in the world of showbiz. Despite the length of their relationship, Carla says she and Geoff have not yet talked about marriage.
“Wala pa…Siguro, bago pag-usapan ‘yon, paghandaan muna,” the actress was quoted in an article on PEP.ph. “Parang ang dami pang kailangang pagdaanan. Ang dami pang kailangang gawin para maging secure kami as individuals, bago namin pag-usapan 'yung pagpapakasal, siyempre (Not yet… Maybe we have to prepare first before we talk about that. It seems like we have to go through a lot. We still have to do a lot of things in order for us to be individually secure, so we have to work on those first before we talk about getting married.).”
She also said that she has already started saving up and investing for the future, though she and Geoff have not yet made any joint investments. “Siyempre 'yung ganyan, pag mag-asawa na kayo (Of course you’ll be doing those when you’re already married!)!” she said.
Carla also shared that she and Geoff make it a point to drop by each other’s holiday celebrations every year. “Every Christmas po, bale sa bahay lang ng lola ko [former movie queen Delia Razon] kami nagse-celebrate… After kong mag-Noche Buena with my family, pupunta na ako sa kanila [Geoff],” she said. “Kapag New Year naman, siya rin, gano’n. Sa family muna niya, tapos pupunta naman siya sa amin. So nagsu-swap kami. Para at least parehong families, nabibisita namin (Every Christmas, we celebrate at my grandmother’s house… After I have my Noche Buena with my family, I will pay his family a visit. He does the same on New Year. He’ll first stay with his family, then he’ll go to mine. We swap, so at least we get to visit both our families.).”
