By now we hope you’ve seen the hilariously unique romantic comedy The Proposal, starring Sandra Bullock and hottie Ryan Reynolds (we sure did, and we absolutely loved it). Romantic comedy junkies are in for another treat this month, as Touchstone Pictures bring us the Sandra Bullock and Ryan Reynolds starrer, The Proposal, directed by Anne Fletcher (Step Up, 27 Dresses).

The story begins when high-powered New York book editor Margaret (Bullock) forces her unsuspecting young assistant Andrew (Reynolds) to marry her to avoid deportation to her native Canada. He agrees to participate in the charade…but with a few conditions of his own.

The filmmakers were inspired by some of the ageless comedies of the past in creating The Proposal. “While dialogue-heavy, they moved really fast,” says producer David Hoberman. “One of the things we wanted to do was have Sandy and Ryan finish each other’s sentences. It’s a love-hate relationship that keeps you going along for the ride.”
