Angelica Panganiban Opens Up about Her Relationship with John Lloyd Cruz

Angelica Panganiban has finally opened up about her feelings for John Lloyd Cruz, who, after months of keeping quiet about the topic, finally admitted that they are officially together on the October 28 episode of The Buzz.

"Iba. Hindi ko alam na nag e-exist pala yung ganoong happiness,” she was quoted as saying in an article on ABS-CBNNews.com during a press conference for the show Banana Split. “Pwede pala yon, pwede pala. May dalawang tao pa lang magkakasundo at kaya niyong suportahan ang isa't isa. 'Yung ganoon ka-simple. Walang hassle, walang problema (It’s different. I didn’t know that this kind of happiness exists. I didn’t know it was possible, that it can happen, and that it’s possible for two people to get along well and to support each other. Something that simple. No hassle, no problems.).”

"Dumating sa point na nagkukuwentuhan kami at na-realize ko na may mga lalake pa palang ganun. 'Yung makikinig talaga (It came to a point when we were just talking to each other and I realized that there are still guys like that--guys who would really listen),” she added.

Angelica also explained why they have been evasive about answering questions regarding their relationship before, saying that it was because they weren’t a couple yet at that time. "Wala naman kaming tinatago. Nagkataon lang na noong panahong tinatanong kami ay wala naman talaga,” she said. “So mahirap bigyan ng label ang mga bagay na wala pa namang label. So ngayon alam na namin kung ano kami sa isa't isa kapag tinanong kami eh diretso na din naming sasagutin (We weren't hiding anything. It just so happened that there was nothing going on between us when we were asked about it before. So it’s hard to give a label to things that still don’t have a label. So now that we both know what we mean to each other, when people ask us, we answer them directly.).”

Angelica also cleared up the earlier rumors surrounding her controversial pictures on the photo-sharing site Instagram. "Hindi. Nasa shooting ako noon,” she said of her photo depicting her wearing a diamond ring. “Sobrang kitid lang ng utak ng mga taong nag-iisip na engaged ako at kung engaged ako ay hindi ko 'yon ilalagay sa Instagram. Baka magpapa-set up ako ng interview kay Tito Boy (Abunda) at hindi sa Instagram (No, I was shooting then. Only narrow-minded people would say that I’m engaged, and if I was, I wouldn’t announce it on Instagram. I might set up an interview with Tito Boy instead.).”

She also said that she was the one who bought the expensive vehicle that John Lloyd allegedly bought for her.  "Nagwo-work ako. May pera ako. Kaya kong bumili (I work. I have money. I can buy it.)."
