Actress Erich Gonzales enjoyed a productive year in 2011, and 2012 is shaping up to be just as hectic for the young star. Her latest teleserye, Maria La Del Barrio, might have ended in March, but shooting is already under way for her movie with Thai superstar Mario Maurer.

You might think taking care of her skin isn't on Erich's list of priorities, but as a lady who tries to pay attention to her health despite her busy schedule, Erich does adhere to a few guidelines to make sure her skin keeps glowing. Keep reading for her tips!

1. ONLY USE MAKEUP WHEN NEEDED.

"When I'm going out, hindi ako nagma-makeup talaga." After each shoot, she makes sure to remove her makeup, no matter how tired she is.

2. DRINK LOTS OF WATER.

Erich often had to stay under the sun for Maria La Del Barrio. Her crying scenes depleted her energy. "May tendency ma-dehydrate ako, so importante talaga [na uminom] ako ng tubig. (I have a tendency to get dehydrated, so it's important that I drink water.)"

3. INVEST IN MOISTURIZER.

You might not feel the difference when you're young, Erich says, but you'll regret not using it when you’re older and have lines and wrinkles.

4. EXERCISE.

Take care of your skin by staying fit, says Erich. "If I have free time, I play badminton." At home, she also plays dance games like Zumba on her Kinect to keep her body moving.

5. DRINK VITAMINS.

Erich regularly takes vitamins, especially Vitamin C, which is good for the skin as well as for boosting your immune system.

I agree with all points, especially the last one.

Lack of vitamins can make skin lifeless, blotchy and dull. A number of studies reveal that certain vitamins and minerals, when taken internally, can positively influence skin appearance.
