The torrential rains that have been plaguing the country for the past few days brought a lot of grief to countless Pinoys. However, this disaster also brought out the best in our countrymen. Donations have been pouring in for the flood victims, and volunteers are still working tirelessly to help in the rescue and relief operations.
A lot of the country’s celebrities and showbiz personalities also utilized social networking sites, particularly Twitter, to help in any way they can. They called for donations, brought relief goods to evacuation centers, relayed calls for rescue and relief, and even braved the floods to join the rescue operations in affected areas.
